I recently completed the machine learning course at Udacity and now I'm energized and want to try it out. I've been trying to think up appropriately interesting projects. Here are a few of my ideas. I'll update you on future with what I end up doing.
- I play D&D and I wanted to write something that could look at a grid-mapped image and translate it into a css grid with correctly sized rows and columns for online gaming projects.
- I want to see if I can determine the genre/type of a book from the jacket cover. I know this has been done but I feel like it could be good practice. Maybe even try it with video game covers
- Something that tries to determine the generate sane dungeon maps from scratch. This is the most difficult of my ideas.
- write a genetic algorithm that plays a simple game (flappy bird? 2048? It's been done – just not by me)
